Man I loved that show. It began when I was 8 (1988) and ran until I was 13 (1993), so needless to say my life mirrored many of its situations...but just with a two year delay or so.

Of course, I was completely in love with Winnie and as hard as I tried I could never find "my own" version of that character.

Good luck to Ben, I hope his wonder years are just as cool (if not better!).

Great Post Brian! As a Children's pastor (at NewSpring) it does my heart good to see and hear about passionate parents!

Godspeed my friend to you and yours! May those wonder years be wonderful (and really much much more)!

    Brian,

I never got into the show when I was younger. But I've seen it a few times since then and can identify with you.

2 years ago my son started the same high school I'd graduated 20 years before. It was a very strange feeling. Now two weeks ago he got his drivers license so I'm REALLY scared.

Funny thing, Josh's girlfriend kinda looks like Winnie.
