Looking for Talent
If you love web design and development, we're looking for talented people to work on some incredible projects at Fellowship Church. Right now, we have four websites and four campuses that we want to take to the next level. If you've been following along, you know we made a major shift last April to open source, linux-driven development. We're cranking out some sweet code left and right, but we need designers to take that code and make it shine. Read all about our development approach here.
Three priorities? Push-the-envelope web designers, top-shelf Flash artists, and people neurotic about good UI.
Three bonuses? PHP/scripting knowledge, database experience, and a some serious photography skills.
We have lots of possibilities that are still being finalized, but it's time to start searching. We're looking for some volunteers with a passion for service, some contractors with a passion for cash and working on high-profile sites, and possibly some employees with a passion for ministry and Fellowship Church.
If you're interested or know someone who might be, leave a comment or send me an email (brian at leaveitbehind dot com). Take a chance. It may seem crazy right now, but God can do some amazing things with crazy.

Are you interested in UK contractors?
My company seems to have ended up specialising in developing websites for Christian charities, although not through any sort of planning for that, and I'd love to work with you.
Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you're interested.

I’d like to reiterate what I iterated a couple months ago on Terry’s blog. All ye Leave it Behind blog readers must know that Fellowship is absolutely a top-notch-phenomenal place to work. (I am not working there now, and again, they are not paying me to say this). : )
Having much experience with working at Fellowship, I can say that it was one of the best career decisions I've made. And I'm comparing that to Fortune 500 employers with Fortune 100 clients, frequent limo transportation w/ steak dinners, and expense accounts that could feed small nations.
Yes, I’m biased towards the web/tech/com department... but I can't think of any department that is not led by great heart, deep passion and crazy mad talent. Forget the fact that FC pays well and fair (compared to most churches paying pathetic)... but one of the best reward/compensation packages won't be in offer letter. You won't find in the benefits package either. It’s understanding that right outside your office, hundreds of people a month are getting baptized. How about knowing that the fruits of your labor played a part in someone changing their life (for the better)... forever.
If you feel a tug in your heart about wanting to work at/with Fellowship... all I can say is get on with it. And be ready to play your A-Game... everyday.

Matt, i don't doubt that Fellowship is a great place to work. I have been reading some of the church IT blogs lately and I love reading on how churches are using IT. I feel being pulled into church IT. Just have to wait on the timing and place where God wants me. :)

I'm taking a chance here. I've been following Brian, Terry and even other pastors found through them for a few months now. I absolutely love what you guys are doing and I so want to use my talents and gifts for God's glory.
I am quite neurotic about user interface, how things look and making things accessible for the target audience. I'm also very for open source software (and Linux!). I've recently setup www.simplyhis.org to be a women's ministry support site. I'm just getting started in my graphic and web design small business, but I would love to work with you guys!
